About ICFA

The Institute of Certified Forensic Accountants® (ICFA) is a not-for-profit professional body for those committed to the development of the multidisciplinary profession of forensic accounting and represents accounting professionals who work in the forensic arena. We aim to promote and develop the profession of forensic accountancy to the public and to those people involved in providing forensic advice and guidance to their clients. Our focus has always been on professional values and high ethical standards, plus the opportunity for study and career advancement in the field of forensic accounting.

The Institute of Certified Forensic Accountants© is registered under the Laws of the State of Delaware, USA.

The CPFA designation is registered with the National Certification Commission, USA.

The ICFA Program

The Institute offers an educational program leading to the designation of Certified Professional Forensic Accountant - CPFAcct - issued to qualified graduates.

The Diploma in Forensic Accounting must be successfully complete in order to be awarded the Certified Professional Forensic Accountant - CPFAcct - designation. This program is delivered by our approved learning centre - Brentwood Open Learning College. The course is 100% online and has tutor support. Find out more about the CPFAcct course.

Professional Standards

The Code of Professional Conduct is binding on all members of the Institute practicing as Forensic Accountants.

The briefer Code of Conduct is binding on all those members not in practice as management consultants - including retired members and Organizational Affiliates. Members of the Institute give advice to all levels of management and with this comes the obligation to maintain the highest standards of integrity and competence.
